In a shocking display of road rage in the heart of Gurugram, a young biker was physically assaulted, and his expensive superbike was vandalized by four men allegedly identified as local bodybuilders. The incident, which took place near the Dwarka Expressway on Sunday, has once again ignited concerns over increasing aggression and lack of discipline on Indian roads.
The victim, Hardik Sharma, and a group of bikers were riding towards Panchgaon from Ambience Mall when their journey turned violent. According to Sharma’s complaint, the trouble began when a black Mahindra Scorpio, which had been tailing their group, abruptly intercepted them. What followed was nothing short of a nightmare.
A Sudden Confrontation Turns Violent

As per eyewitness accounts and viral footage now circulating on social media, the Scorpio’s occupants stepped out and launched a sudden attack on the bikers. Sharma, who was riding a high-end superbike worth approximately ₹11 lakh, was the primary target.
The attackers reportedly dragged him off his bike and began hitting him with a baseball bat and other blunt objects. A disturbing video of the incident shows Sharma pleading for help and mercy while trying to shield himself from blows. Onlookers and fellow bikers were initially too stunned to intervene, as the assailants seemed aggressive and undeterred by public presence.
After assaulting Sharma, the attackers turned their wrath toward the bike, smashing it repeatedly with a baseball bat, causing extensive damage. According to police officials, the rear section of the bike was completely shattered, and several mechanical components were left in a wrecked state.
FIR Filed, Police Begin Probe
Following the incident, Hardik Sharma approached the police and filed an FIR at the Rajendra Park police station. The FIR includes charges of assault, criminal intimidation, mischief causing damage, and wrongful restraint. Senior police officials have confirmed that investigations are underway and that efforts are being made to identify and nab the culprits based on CCTV footage and vehicle registration details.
“We are treating this matter seriously. The video evidence has helped us narrow down suspects, and we’re conducting raids in potential locations. No one will be spared,” a senior Gurugram Police officer said.
A Wake-Up Call for Urban India
This incident isn’t just an isolated case of violence—it is a reflection of a broader, more dangerous trend. Road rage incidents have been on the rise in urban India, where a mix of high-speed vehicles, short tempers, and weak law enforcement have created a volatile situation.
Experts believe that the growing obsession with muscle power and macho behavior among certain youth groups is exacerbating such incidents. Social media has also played a part in glorifying aggressive driving behavior and stunts, sometimes pushing individuals to act recklessly in public.
Psychologist Dr. Neha Rastogi comments, “Road rage often stems from a deep-rooted need to assert dominance. In crowded cities like Gurugram, where traffic and ego often collide, any small trigger can lead to dangerous consequences.”
Citizens Demand Stricter Enforcement
The video has prompted outrage online, with netizens demanding swift justice and stricter road safety measures. Several users tagged Gurugram Police on social media, demanding the arrest of the attackers and urging authorities to ensure such incidents do not repeat.
“Gurugram is turning into a warzone for motorists. If this can happen in broad daylight with witnesses around, what does that say about our safety?” a user wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
While Gurugram Police continue their investigation, the incident serves as a grim reminder of the fragile safety on Indian roads today. It is not just the responsibility of the law enforcement but also of society to curb this growing menace.
